About Kenneth Thorman
I have a background as software architect/developer and technical lead in a wide variety of business applications. I have since October 2005 been managing remote teams where this could complement inhouse development. Projects have been outsourced to a wide range of geographical locations. One specific project which required intimate knowledge of the Mozilla FireFox browser and ActiveX components was a team effort involving Australia, Korea and Canada. Since mid 2012 have been working with Angular.js, "realtime websites", websockets, XMPP, node.js and WebRTC, as well as writing cross platform mobile device apps using Xamarin (MonoTouch and Mono.Android) targeted the medical domain. I have a history of working with Microsoft technologies like BizTalk, SharePoint Server, ASP.MVC .NET, Business Intelligence, MSSQL as well as traditional interface based OO software architecture and relational database design.I have complemented the Microsoft technologies by working with open source applications and Java in the same areas. JBoss JBPM, Liferay/Alfresco, Pentaho, MySql and Linux. I have been submitting core patches to several open source projects.I have worked quite extensively with revision/build/release management on both Java and .NET and supporting this process by using tools like ANT/NANT, CruiseControl/CruiseControl.NET, JUnit/NUnit, JCover/NCover, SourceMonitor as well as on the .NET side FxCop and integrating the use of these in the build process.Specialties: MCP, MCTS, MCAD, Technical Lead, Software Architecture, ERD modeling, BizTalk Server, WCF, SharePoint Server, C#, MSSQL, Java, PHP, MySql, CentOS/Redhat (linux)
