I actually discovered financial planning by accident. After working in the multifamily apartment industry for 10 years, an acquaintance called me out of the blue and suggested I meet with him to implement a financial plan. I was skeptical that he was trying to sell me something, but I had a young toddler, a wife, and a future to prepare for, and he made a compelling stance.So not only did I become his client...I joined his company! I soaked up as much as I could learn about financial planning, including the workplace benefits and lifestyles of our military and federal employee clients. I spent a few years learning and earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Financial Consultant® designations.
