Mr. Ward holds the position of Lead Professional Land Surveyor overseeing a team of twenty-four full-time Professional Land Surveyors at Exacta, a prominent provider of ALTA/NSPS and boundary surveying services. Exacta specializes in facilitating real estate transactions across residential, commercial, and industrial properties, catering to a diverse clientele including title insurance companies, mortgage lenders, real estate attorneys, investors, REITs, realtors, and private landowners. Additionally, the company offers utility/municipal Lien Search services and Estoppel Reports. Operating in Florida, Maryland, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, Texas, and Oklahoma, Exacta's competitive advantage stems from its innovative surveying software, "Survey Stars" (Survey Retrieval and Tracking System, "STARS"), developed by the company's founders to streamline operations.Prior to his tenure at Exacta, Mr. Ward served as Director of Land Acquisitions at Zilber Ltd/Towne Realty Inc., based in Milwaukee, WI, for 14 years. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing entitlements, site plan and zoning approvals for proposed residential, commercial, and condominium development projects in Florida and Georgia.Before joining Zilber Ltd/Towne Realty, Mr. Ward served as president of Canaveral Engineering Group, offering a range of surveying, engineering, planning, permitting, and zoning & land use consulting services to private sector clients.As a second-generation land surveyor, Mr. Ward obtained his Florida Professional Land Surveyor & Mapper license (LS5646) in 1996 and Land Surveying & Geomatics courses at the University of Florida. He also has a background in law enforcement, graduating from the Florida law enforcement academy and Seminole State College, and served as a non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army.With a history of public service, Mr. Ward held elected positions in the City of Titusville, Florida, serving for six years and two terms as vice-Mayor. He was also involved in various community roles, including as a board member of the Community Redevelopment Agency and Municipal Code Enforcement, and as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Sculptor Charter School for a decade.
