I am passionate about helping students, adults and youth, become excited about learning and see the lights come on when they get excited to learn. My 8th grade math teacher let me do my math measuring the arc of my shot on a basketball court instead of in my seat trying to muscle through a formula I wasn’t grasping. She unlocked my excitement to succeed in a subject I could not grasp. I love her for that and love the daily grapple with helping to do what she had the foresight to accomplish with me. I am an education administrator with strong leadership, organizational, and educational systems management skills, and experience. An effective visionary who develops clear goals, outlining strategic plans and empowering members into action. I am respected as a valued leader who could be counted on to independently manage, improve, and create change, participation, and growth within a team. Recognized as a growth and change agent who can successfully gain support, motivate, and increase classroom and activity participation and sustainability. I work well with people and love to help them improve their teaching skills through observation and feedback. Throughout my terminal degree, I worked on reading comprehension strategies to help adolescents understand and rely on scriptural text with more ease. This applies to my ideals to help improve teaching and learning.
