Was also accountable for ensuring financial policy compliance and discipline through Bridgestone Americas and its businesses.

Assigned to lead and restructure Bridgestone’s non tire operations through the “Great Recession” following the financial crisis of 2008. Company consisted of commercial roofing products, global truck suspension systems, textiles and natural rubber operations with revenue of $2.2B. • Initiated a number of cross functional teams to work with consultant Alexander Proudfoot to implement a Management Operating system to forecast, plan and measure SG&A expenses. Results from this system supported significant administrative consolidation and an $8M annual reduction of expense. • Supervised a manufacturing recovery team to realign capacity to expected demand. Closed 5 of 26 factories which resulted in improved factory conversion costs and annual savings of $10M per year without affecting customer supply. • Restored profitability with results in the first half of 2011 exceeding budget by $35M with sales growth in both roofing and suspension systems in excess of industry.
