The Q is an online platform and network, focused on growing and fostering awareness of the global LGBTQ creative community! The Q aims to be that single space where audiences can discover music, art, and media and more from LGBTQ creatives.Using social and multi media platforms, The Q creates opportunities for LGBTQ creatives to be seen and heard as well as come together to support and elevate each other.

Supervision & Human Resources- Oversee the day to day operations of the MSVUSU- Act as the direct advisor to the Students’ Union Executive team- Provide transition training for incoming executive members- Ensure leadership & development opportunities are provided for staff and student leaders- Coach and mentor staff and executive as appropriate to improve performanceFiscal Management- Main contact for organizations partners- Provide counsel for all sponsorship and fundraising campaigns for the MSVUSU- Oversee the MSVUSU Capital Campaign strategies- Work to ensure sound bookkeeping and accounting procedures- Ensure the funds of the organization are in accordance with the approved budget and monitor the monthly cash flow of the organizationOrganizational and Student Life Strategy- Visioning and goal setting guidance and strategy- Primary advisor and a lead organizer for Student Life activities including Orientation- Advisor to the Vice President Communications on student society affairs- Work to ensure student life practices and events are conducted in an inclusionary manner- Co-chair of the MSVU Orientation Committee- Work to establish new/diverse student life opportunities- Provide training workshops for students, societies and interested students- Be a member of the MSVU student leadership award committee- Establish strong and collaborative arrangements with campus, community and business partners- Foster effective team work between the Executive, SRC and management- Identify and assess internal and external issues that affect the organizationMarketing & CommunicationsOversee the marketing and communication strategies including but not limited to:- Creation and adherence to SU brand specifics- Creation and distribution of SU signage and marketing materials- Oversee the direction/development of the MSVUSU website- Ensure social media is active and appropriately managed- Oversee digital and print media- Seek out new opportunities

- Re-envision, re-build and manage operational retail outlets and staff for the Student Association of George Brown College.- Oversee a team of 30 plus employees on multiple campuses with multi-locations- Create and control an annual expense and revenue budget of $300, 000- Write business and marketing plans for multiple Association departments- Create and implement all service advertising, marketing and promotional strategies- Prepare and maintain operations and production budgets for all areas of outlet operations- Explore all potential growth and expansion possibilities- Build and maintain effective working relationships both inside and outside of College space
