As a kid, I was always fascinated by numbers. Growing up with a father who’s been a statistician for over 60 years, it was hard not to be. I remember watching him work with numbers, always intrigued by how data could reveal hidden insights. That curiosity never left me. It followed me through school and into my career in data science.For years, I focused on using data to drive business and performance metrics. But over time, I realized I wanted to do more than just optimize systems and improve efficiencies—I wanted to use data to make a tangible, positive impact on people’s lives.That realization led me to pivot into the medical space, where I’m leveraging my background in data science and machine learning to work on something truly meaningful. Today, I’m developing segMedix, an AI-powered tool designed to assist radiologists and patients in the early detection and diagnosis of prostate cancer.It feels incredible to finally merge my passion for data with a mission to help people. I look forward to what’s next and the difference we can make in healthcare.
