Development of tools used by production facility's internal or external to allow high volume, low testing times with high quality and first pass yield...The internally developed tool provides the company to have the possibility to track and verify all produced devices test data before they enter the field. This is done to limit the errors from production to be send to the customer. The tool is written in Java and uses an Oracle database as back-end and JUnit + Mockito as test framework.For administration and configuration of the internal and external production orders, we created a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) which is using a JSON API running on a Tomcat server . It is written in HTML and CSS (Honeywell's bootstrap version), using JavaScript and jQuery.

As a System and Solution Engineer I am following up projects starting from the development phase till user acceptance. During this period I perform the following tasks:• Assist functional analysts • Follow up development and perform functional testing• Implementation on customer systems• Give specific customer training and workshops• Perform quality audits• Assist roll-out• Assist FAT and UATOnce finished I provide knowledge handover to our first line support desk and foresee 2nd line support. As a first point of contact to the customer I need to know each step of the business processes behind the project. This starts with collecting meter data till exporting billing files. With this knowledge I answer questions and perform initial problem analysis. When needed I dispatch questions/issues to experts within their field (Software, hardware, communications, meters).Additional I support product management & pre-sales. This I do by suggesting potential product improvements, testing new releases and cooperate to find the ideal solution for customer requests.

As DQC I take part of the overall Quality Organization leaded by the Quality Manager.

Project: Repair mobile office devices at NMBS and give training.Technical environment: I repaired the hardware in mobile devices that have crucial information (VISA payments, etc), and managed the stock. I trained people to repair the mobile devices and helped them with the administration. Finally I also tested new related back office applications.

Project: Repairing embedded boards for digital signs and mobile office in the company and at clients.Technical environment: Repair embedded boards with a Pace soldering station and/or hot-air station. Boards work on Linux, Windows and OnTime. I repaired these at the company, but I had many interventions to different clients in Belgium. Also supporting the colleagues on the road when needed.
