Palsgaard Malaysia is a 100-year-old Danish food company that specialises in the production of emulsifiers and stabilisers.Their factory, located in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, has been established since 2013 and is about 10 acres. This semi-automated plant, which operates 24/7, is occupied by about 50 dedicated staff members. • Directed all HSSE aspects of the site, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and continuous certification within certifying bodies.• Led the organization in SEDEX compliance and CSR programs, driving continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.• Managed various environmental programs, including wastewater treatment, scheduled waste operation, and firefighting facilities maintenance.

Eternal Materials is a Taiwanese chemical company that produces alkyd, acrylic and unsaturated polyester resins. In 2017, their first plant in South East Asia was operational. It is located in Tanjung Langsat, Johor and is occupied by 200 strong staff. I was fortunate to be part of the team during its construction commissioning and operation phase.Some of the tasks that I was assigned were:- • Ensured compliance with legal and regulatory requirements regarding safety, environment, and customs.• Conducted workplace risk assessments, safety audits, and accident investigations, implementing corrective actions to improve safety performance.• Participated in the application and review of site facility layouts and installations to meet safety requirements.

Johor Port was awarded as the Tanjung Setapa & Teluk Ramunia Material Off Loading Facility (MOLF) operator. I was fortunate to be part of the team that was in charge of overseeing the operation of these two facilities.• Oversaw safety aspects of discharging operations for project cargo, ensuring compliance with HSSE requirements and regulations.• Conducted daily HSSE surveillance and equipment inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.• Investigated accidents and near misses, proposing preventive measures and reporting findings to relevant authorities.
