Kenneth “Kenny” Robinson is the retired Chief Diversity Officer and vice president for Northrop Grumman, a defense technology company that has a long-standing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I). As the Chief Diversity Officer, Kenny was committed to advancing the company’s inclusive culture, and championed Northrop Grumman’s commitment to diversity – from the talent acquisition process to creating an environment of belonging. He oversaw a myriad of DE&I programs including the company’s 14 employee resource groups with over 220 chapters and 23,000 employees. Kenny also lead the Global Corporate Responsibility team and was president of the Northrop Grumman Foundation. Prior to this role, Kenny was the vice president of Engineering and Sciences for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems’ Maritime, Land Systems & Sensors division. He also served as vice president, Strategic Force Programs business unit, Intelligence and Surveillance and Reconnaissance division, where he oversaw a portfolio of national security space systems mission control programs. Kenny joined Northrop Grumman in 2007 following a distinguished career with the U.S. Air Force culminating as the commander of the Global Positioning Satellite Control Segment Group. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the United States Air Force Academy and a master’s degree in applied management from Lesley University. He is a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University Advanced Program Manager’s course and is a certified Acquisition Professional Development Level III. He is also a member of the California Science Center Board of Trustees.
