I help seed community values in real-world spaces. From urban planning and redevelopment to equity and resilience initiatives, I lead and participate on teams and in coalitions that strengthen places, reduce emissions, and enlarge access to opportunity for community members. I believe in open dialogue and honest problem-solving. Our work in the world must be done locally, and more so, in community, and even more so, in our minds and hearts. To be a community builder is to redistribute power and opportunity so everyone can contribute their gifts with dignity and security, and to create conditions that help us to fully receive the gifts of others.
