We need a county government that is both effective and responsive to our needs — and frankly, we haven’t had that here in Prince William County. We need leaders who understand what it’s like to struggle, and the power of second chances and new opportunities. We need leaders who can bring new, dynamic ideas to the table and bring people together for the good of all. We need representatives that have the lived experience to know that there are better solutions, and that we can bring the community together to come up with those solutions. That’s why I’m running.I grew up in a low-income neighborhood, predominantly made up of immigrants. Almost everyone I knew was just starting to build their lives, and struggling to do so. Poverty and gang violence were common; my bedroom window had bullet holes in it. I have also seen first-hand what happens when our government is unresponsive to the needs of real people – I lost my mom two years ago to chronic homelessness and substance abuse.I’m stepping up and running because we need to have representatives who share the lived experiences of our friends and neighbors.

Many of our delegates would rather spend time scoring points with an ideological base rather that actually legislating to the needs of working Virginians. I'm running for the House of Delegates because we need to achieve progress in the realms of Criminal Justice, Education, Jobs, Transportation and many others. More than ever before it's time to fight for progress at the state level so working Virginians can achieve progress in their lives.

- Received training and trained others in the full gambit of grassroots political organization ranging from phonebanking and small group meetings to multi-neighborhood canvassing and full-scale rallies.- Was assigned a small territory in which to organize in Albuquerque, and eventually took on more territory in light or solid organization skills and successful events. - Coordinated and inspired political activists to attend events even when weather or other factors made attending such events inconvenient.- Helped meet and exceed all team goals, in part by helping to optimize and streamline informational forms, event media and helped create unique branding.- Also aided in social media proliferation and maintenance.

- Serviced Summer School Students, Summer Camp attendees and other guests in a hospitality-type position.- Duties included: coordinating the issuance and return of room keys, aiding in room inspection and preparation, providing direction and local area information, dealing with lockouts and guest issues, minding amenities, and dealing with medical and logistical emergencies.- Worked at various times of day as required, including the only housing office which was open 24 hours a day. Also assisted in working with other housing offices when manpower shortages arose.
