I am a civil engineering student at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, expected to graduate in May 2025. I have a passion for engineering and design, and I have acquired multiple skills and certifications in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, and productive questioning. I am currently serving as the treasurer of the National Society of Black Engineers, a student organization that promotes academic excellence, professional development, and community service among black engineers.I have also gained valuable work experience as an intern at Alfred Benesch & Company, a civil engineering firm that specializes in transportation, environmental, structural, and geotechnical engineering. I assisted the project manager with site inspection and reports, prepared submittal packages, and transcribed technical drawings to improve work efficiency. I learned how to apply my analytical and technical skills to real-world projects, and how to collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and clients. I am eager to further develop my engineering skills and knowledge, and to contribute to the success and innovation of the engineering industry.
