The US’s transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy has created unique opportunity to repurpose infrastructure at soon to be shuttered coal plants to accommodate the fast-tracked development of utility scale renewable projects. We created Forsite Renewables in 2019 as an evolution of our Environmental Risk Transfer platform where we acquire and redevelop shuttered coal facilities. We recognized that preserving key infrastructure at legacy coal plants can provide a key role in the country’s transition to renewable energy.Forsite Renewables has quickly become a significant player in this energy transition. We currently have over 2.5 gigawatts of solar projects under development across 16,000 acres around end-of-life coal plants in 8 states. As an entity that routinely acquires coal facilities, Forsite has a unique skill set for structuring transactions that ensures legacy environmental conditions are decoupled from the above grade energy project, and ensuring key infrastructure is preserved. Our goal is ensure these plants achieve their highest redevelopment potential and creating positive outcomes for key stakeholders including; the coal plant seller, community and surrounding property owners.

I successfully verified interests on over 275 Permian and DJ Basin wells as part of a $200Mm divestiture and utilized my real estate title expertise to manage a divestiture team of a client's non-core assets.

Negotiated Master Service Agreements with Sr. and Executive staff for multiple E&P clients. Managed all AP, AR, Operations and HR for the firm which employed approximately 150 independent contractors in multiple states. Negotiated renewable lease contracts with landowners, assisted in site selection using GIS analysis and coordinated oil/gas co-development for renewable projects Clients included: BP North America, Aruba Petroleum, Nadel & Gusman, CEI Resources and Acoma EnergyKey Achievements: Managed $400 million acquisition and title project; employing 150 contractors to acquire over 1,500 oil and gas contracts in Utica Shale (Ohio) on behalf of BP.  Conducted and managed extensive due diligence work resulting in acquisitions exceeding $100Mm in Permian Basin assets.  Developed standard title and acquisition processes that saved clients 15% on projects by reducing turnaround time on projects.  Implemented file tracking system to track title status on approximately 2,000 individual client reports.
