Establishes a team-based culture to allow for the successful development of challenging global mining projects while meeting all necessary investment criteriaPROJECT MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION-Satisfies execution requirements by ensuring that oversight and governance functions are maintained for all critical project issues.-Conducts project evaluations to evaluate risks and viability for financing and marketing decisions.-Ensures that mechanical completion schedules are both feasible and in-line with the required start-up sequencing, allowing the owner to meet their desired production deadlines.-Developed the execution model for a project in Turkey to minimize indirect costs and reduced the execution budget by $25 million by completing most engineering works prior to the start of major construction works.STUDY DEVELOPMENT-Supports clients in the interpretation of data and development of public disclosures and press releases for mineral reserves statements.-Establishes fit-for-project contingency and risk reserve allocations based on the level of engineering definition of individual budget items and Monte Carlo simulations.-Managed a Peer Review of a study in Northern Québec and identified $148.9M worth of potential CAPEX Reductions.PROJECT OPTIMIZATIONS & BUSINESS IMPROVEMENTS-Manages opportunities to maintain and improve project economics through the entire project value chain by implementing value engineering, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives. -Strategic perspective related to corporate growth, development, mergers and acquisitions.-Identified four projects that advanced to Feasibility Study level with the potential to add $449 million of Net Present Value to a Canadian asset while increasing metal revenue by $102 million per annum.-Oversaw the completion of an international Feasibility Study $1.3 million under budget with over $88 million in CAPEX reductions compared to the previous designs.-Developed a business case to replace five existing pressure vessels at a Canadian operation to improve process recoveries and increase operational safety parameters. Project payback was within 8 months of construction.
