Reporting to the MD, I am dealing with all aspects of running a very busy drawing office including interacting with Structural Engineers, Architects and Clients. My duties also include scheduling all relevant drawings and documents for issue to the workshop for fabrication. Also I am detailing steelwork and cladding packages for a number of small to medium sized projects on the Isle of Man using StruCad and Tekla.

Detailing structural steelwork and GA's for a wide range of building types and sizes. Detailed 3D modela using StruCAD and produced GA's fabrication drawings and all associated drawings and lists from the 3D model.

Set up the company with the help of Andrew Mannion and performed all related tasks including detailing large steel projects and staff management. The company was very successful until it became another casualty of the 2008 recession.

Detailing 3D models of a variety of buildings from which I produced GA's, 3D views, fabrication and assembly drawings for their workshops to fabricate steelwork. Also produced material lists, bolt lists, assembly lists and a large number of other associated lists for each project. Successfully produced design & fabrication drawings for TransOcean Leader 8, Deepwater upgrade. Also produced fit-out & installation drawings for the Visund Semi-submersible production vessel using MicroStation.

• Produced 3D models, (using Multi-Steel & AutoCad), of steelwork & equipment for ‘Mallard over Kittiwake’ process module & ‘North Sea Producer’ FPSO in Middlesbrough, (see photos on the Projects page of my Website).• Created fabrication & design drawings for both of these projects.
