My activities in the last ten years have revolved around online information and technology-enabled services ventures, where I have served both as General Counsel and in senior management positions.My significant non-legal experience adds a valuable dimension to my legal skills. I have walked a mile in the shoes of management, intimately understand their needs, and have the rare ability to craft practical, business-sensitive solutions to address their legal challenges.I have also been a company founder in my own right. With my business partner, I started Fox & Obel, Chicago's premiere specialty food emporium, which opened to the public in the summer of 2001. The 22,000 square-foot store was honored by the NASFT as a “Retailer of the Year” in 2004, and remains one of the most widely recognized and beloved retailers in the City of Chicago.Across all of these roles, I have honed skills as a counselor, leader, manager and problem-solver.
