I'm a versatile Software Engineer with 6 years of professional experience and a B.S. in Computer Engineering with enthusiasm for security and clever solutions. My Backend Engineering experience has equipped me with knowledge in a wide range of technology stacks from Istio, a Service Mesh, to Solidity, a language for Ethereum smart contract development. Learning and refining my skills with new technologies is something I heavily embrace with excitement to get into the weeds and take full advantage of what it has to offer. For programming languages, I prefer languages that provide greater control over how the program executes and I understand each language has it's purpose. The languages I have used most are Go, Rust, C++, and Python. Even though I have not had as much professional experience with Rust, it remains one of my favorite languages that I keep going back to. Go has also climbed to be one of my preferred languages as I have used it over the last few years. C++ is what I used throughout college and is what has shaped my deeper understanding of the good and bad that comes with different languages. One of my larger focuses outside of my technical knowledge has been on effective collaboration especially in my remote-first roles. Each team I am part of is different and I put a significant effort to find how to best work with my coworkers from an open call during the day to act as a virtual office space to extensive comments on code for them to review at their convenience.
