Hello! Welcome to my LinkedIn profile. I am a recent graduate from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a degree in Civil Engineering. In addition to loving engineering and mathematics, I also love to make maps like the snippet of the one seen in my profile header.Throughout my entire time in university I worked as a College Intern at the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities in the engineering support services (materials section) for design. By working in the support services, I learned an unbelievable amount of technical expertise related to: hydraulic design, geotechnical and pavement engineering, geomatics, surveying, and other services provided by engineering support staff. In addition, I've became very familiar with producing maps and Civil3D drawings depending on the type of project and required deliverable. These deliverables range from site maps, to retaining wall details, to typical sections, as well as online GIS applications used for field surveys. I also had the opportunity to prepare engineering estimates and draft plan sheets for various projects in Southeast Alaska. As someone who loves to try new things, Civil Engineering, even before graduation, gave me more opportunities and inspiration than I could have ever imagined. Despite not knowing where I'll be in 10, 20 years, I can confidently say that wherever I am, I will be engineering something in order to make someone else's life a little bit easier.
