I love the adrenaline rush of grabbing any audience, whether in a boardroom of execs, a team meeting, or an impromptu concert atop a woodpile in British Columbia (or an all-company talent contest).I’m passionate about creating growth in others, evidenced by my time as a drum tutor and youth basketball coach in high school; a fraternity president in college; a peer educator as a Naval Officer; a sales trainer in solar; a volunteer advisor for startups in Africa; a mentor at Medallia and Iterable; a ski coach for 6-9-year-olds; and the ultimate challenge of raising two kids who are 17 months apart.I thrive when developing a vision that aligns with C-Level Goals, building and inspiring high-impact teams to lay out a time-bound strategy and a detailed plan, and then holding them accountable and having fun as they implement and execute quarterly plans.I give people focus and motivation through difficult circumstances, growth periods, stall-out periods, etc. by impressing an attitude of “Who do you want to be and how do you want to act when the world around you is changing.” After months of corporate upheaval, my proudest moment came when a direct report told me, “Now I know what true leadership looks like.”I honed my hiring practices from 2010-2018, and at NRG, was hand-picked to create a leadership development program (LDP) where I recruited, trained, and led 13 high-performing leaders. They immediately ran 15+ cross-departmental initiatives, 2 were promoted to run business lines, and another 2 led my Corporate Strategy and Channel Sales teams.At one point in all the acquisitions and pivots (which I helped guide), my team was responsible for “onboarding” the sales teams for 2 of our acquisitions (Roof Diagnostics and Pure Energies), and I was the personal liaison for the CEO (David Crane) for each San Francisco visit.From 2018-2023, I’ve enjoyed being an individual contributor, hunting and driving multi-department enterprise SaaS sales with MEDDICC and Command-of-Message (CoM).
