I research topics in applied cryptography and secure, privacy-preserving data analytics. I teach various introductory courses in the Computer and Electrical Engineering department. I manage and maintain the University's telescope, observatory, and related technical equipment. I plan and host public viewing events providing insight and information on astronomical phenomena.

In a short time I rose to become the lead technician and Repair Shop Foreman. Due to my technical knowledge relating to computers and computer networking, in the context of this small business, I also became the Network Administrator and was, more than once, called upon to assist in the maintenance of the database software used by the business, or to even design from the ground up, network utilities to be used in this context. All of this I accomplished in addition to my regular duties with respect to the care, maintenance, and management of the music store's fleet of over 1000 instruments, the administration of other members of the repair staff, as well as the repair of all privately owned instruments that were brought for repair.

I taught alongside faculty and filled in for absences in major coursework for the University. I developed, maintained, and administered various assessments of student learning. I also repaired, tuned, and maintained the University's fleet of pianos.
