Ken has practiced civil trial law for 20 years. His general civil litigation practice includes both tort litigation and commercial litigation, including premises liability, trucking litigation, product liability, agribusiness litigation, and employment litigation. Ken has defended numerous businesses in the retail, hospitality, restaurant, entertainment, multifamily residential, transportation and manufacturing industries. He has also defended various livestock professionals, including livestock owners, horse trainers and stable operators, as well as agricultural cooperatives and feed companies. Ken was recently selected for inclusion in the 2025 edition of The Best Lawyers in America for personal injury defense litigation. In 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, Thompson Reuters named Ken a "Texas Super Lawyer" in civil litigation, an honor bestowed on only five percent of all Texas Lawyers. Ken was previously named a "Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star" in civil litigation 11 times, a distinction awarded each year to fewer than 2.5 percent of Texas lawyers under the age of 40. He was a three-time recipient of the Texas Young Lawyers Association President's Award of Merit.Ken has served on the Texas Association of Defense Counsel board of directors and the boards of directors for the Texas Young Lawyers Association and Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and Life Fellow of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation. Ken received his B.S. degree in political science from Texas A&M University in 2001 and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2004, where he was selected for inclusion in the Order of Barristers and was awarded the Dean's Student Advocacy Service Award for meritorious service to the trial advocacy program.
