Most people do not make good decisions in a confusing environment and Ken and his team found that by focusing on providing clarity, consensus and confidence in every decision that is made, both within the firm and with the clients and advisors they serve, they are able to set the foundation for thoughtful plan design and long-term success. As an alumnus of UNC Chapel Hill, Ken initially started his career in the accounting world and obtained his CPA designation before joining Morehead Group in 1986. Ken has held numerous positions of influence, both within the life insurance industry and also with the firm’s national affiliation, National Financial Partners. He is a member of The Forum 400 and has served as an AALU Board member (now known as Finseca) as well as Chairman of the NFP/Partners Financial Advisory Board. Outside of the industry, Ken serves on the Board of National Christian Foundation (NCF) Carolinas and the Charlotte Estate Planning Council. He is active in several civic and community organizations including the Charlotte Rotary Club and Queens University Estate Planners Day Committee. Outside of the office, you will find Ken spending time with family, friends and actively participating in his church. Ken is married to Betsy and finds great delight in their children and grandchildren.
