Founded the Rumney Mercantile Exchange in 2009.The Rumney Mercantile Exchange owned and operated the historic Rumney Village Store from 2010 thru 2014. The Village Store was originally opened at this location (in this building) in 1865, and operated continuously until 2009. RME purchased the assets and set about reconstructing and rebuilding the cornerstone of this community.The building was renovated and updated and the business was reestablished and opened it's doors again to the public in 2011 offering all C-store services as well as hardware, consignment and other services. The Village Store also maintained a free-range flock supplying daily farm-fresh eggs, and partnered with several local producers to carry an assortment of jerky, cookies, cakes, breads and home-made crafts. The store offered a cost-free platform for any of the town's youth to sell their art, crafts or other items and supported many charitable causes. RME eventually expanded operations into prepared goods, and supplied the regions best sub-sandwiches and developed our own unique Custom Blended Soft Serve ice-cream that was voted Best in New England*
