I run the entire sales and use tax process for the corporation. I reduce our risk and minimize our tax liability. I manage our state audits, as well as provide guidance to our other divisions for their audits. Last year, I volunteered to setup the new Medical Device Excise tax for our corporation. I am now in charge of preparing the MDET are on semi-monthly basis for our manufacturing and import sites. Our products are continouously reviewed to document exclusions for further manufacture and export. The MDET is now suspended until 2020, so we are in process of generating refund opportunities on our past MDET. We are now planning a large project to centralize the tax and procurement processes for all the divisions in our corporate group. In addition, the entire tax compliance process will become fully automated.

Company tax guru. Prepare all sales and property tax returns for over 40 states and provinces in the US and Canada. My tax knowledge is extensive enough that if I don't know the answer, I know where to find it.Proactive and hunt for tax savings opportunities for the company. So far, I have generated thousands of dollars of tax savings through work opportunity credits, direct mail, and bundled product composition. Plus, I deal directly with state tax auditors to minimize their damages.

Part of a tax department. Responsible for all sales and property tax returns. Personally generated over $100K of tax savings through R&D credits and boiler fuel refunds. Self-taught extensive knowledge of manufacturing tax laws in four states. Property tax return was unique in that assets regularly morphed into other assets requiring in-depth tracking.

Prepared mostly income tax returns for individuals and corporations. Later expanded to preparing financial statements for several small companies.Prepared returns manually for the 1st two years. Switched to computerized in 1990. While working at TK Publishing, I got free software for use in my business. I could essentially test the software in real life situations and provide suggestions for improvements to TK Publishing. This enhanced my value at TK and increased my CPA's business profitability.

Worked in tandem with computer programmer to produce income tax software for entities (C Corp, S Corp, Partnership, and Fiduciaries). In-charge of department to produce the depreciation module. For the first three years, I co-created the state corporate income tax software for 16 states. I was then promoted and spent the last two years co-producing the Federal corporate and entities income tax software.
