IPC Systems Inc.Assisted in the design and implementation of telephony software for trading system. Work included port of station card code from VxWorks to embedded Linux. Developed a VxWorks emulation API that reduced the need to rewrite large amounts of existing code. This involved much work with multithreading and distributed applications, scheduling policies, inter-process communication, network programming, memory management, filesystems and daemons.Used profiling tools to help identify performance bottlenecks and memory leaks. Developed wrapper for the MIT Kerberos API to simplify usage for both C++ and Java application for a web-based trading phone. Assisted in the design and implemented of a database, SNMP subagent and trap handler for a system that collects inventory and reports status of station cards, and ip phones. Developed SNMP framework using WinSNMP API and win32 API.Designed and implemented a SIP/CSTA gateway for Remote Call Control (RCC) between Office Communication Server(OCS) and IPC's proprietary communication system. Developed click-to-dial application using Acme Packet's Application Session Contoller.Developed a pre-processor application and plug-in for a Click-to-dial feature using Microsoft's UIAutomation and SmartTag managed APIs. Other responsibilities included setting up Citrix system for feasibility studies. This involved installing and configuring XenServer, ZenDesktop and ZenClient.Became a valued resource for client and team members in solving difficult issues relating to multithreading and signals and other non-deterministic software issues.

Implemented software enhancements for an Intel x86 simulator and a patch-control system for DCO and EWSD switches using C, C++ and x86 Intel Assembly language. This simulated was used to test programs before they were burned into an EPROM.
