In 1992, IBM relocated me from Boise to Reno to manage the Nevada Branch office. Soon after moving to Nevada, I met my wife of 30 years and raised our son Kenny, who attended Reno High School and attended the University of Nevada, Reno, College of Idaho and Boise State University. In 1994 decided to use my financial background, negotiating skills and relationships to make a career change into the commercial real estate industry. In 2003, I founded Stark & Associates, a successful commercial real estate business. As broker I negotiate contracts and recruit new businesses to town that create good jobs. A few clients I've served included: Charles Schwab, Schwab Bank, Cisco, NV Energy, Renown Health, McKenzie Properties, Piedmont Truss, Alchemy, Infinity Hospice Care, State of Nevada Buildings & Grounds, Lithium America, Paso Roles Tank, Nanotech Energy and Seeler Chemical Industries.I've made an unsuccessful run for public office as the City of Reno Mayor, learned a lot and continue to focus on Job Recruiting, Fiscal Responsibility, Economic Growth, Good Job Creation, Customer Service, Listening and to be the Leader that includes Everyone at the table to have a Conversation to make tough decisions for the Benefit of the Entire Community.2019 brought a new chapter. April 2019 we opened a commercial real estate brokerage office in my old home town of Boise, Idaho to offer opportunities for companies considering relocating from CA, WA and OR to Reno or Boise areas. In 2022 the Boise office joined forces with TCN Worldwide as the Boise affiliate with over 205 offices across the United States. It's great to work in a community full of long time and wonderful relationships.
