As the Site Manager I was responsible for the day to day management of construction activities on designated projects, ensuring health and safety, programme and quality control were upheld to the highest standards at all times.It was my role to supervise and coordinate trade teams, subcontractors and my own site based staff.To ensure that programme and scheduling work was carried out efficiently, while ensuring costs are kept within budget. This was one of the hardest but most satisfying parts of the role, as when it worked well, there would be minimal trades clashing, creating a happy team, that could work more efficiently.I was responsible for the management of site housekeeping, discipline and behaviour and promote a site culture to target zero harm.
