Manage the trade and economic section of the embassy covering all commercial areas, investment promotion and advocacy, government and business networks, and assist in the overall bilateral economic cooperation between the Government of the Philippines and the Swiss Confederation.Oversees the implementation of the Philippine-European Free Trade Association Free Trade Agreement (PH-EFTA-FTA), double taxation agreement, exchange of trainees and professionals, and other foreign economic instruments. Performs the following functions in concurrent capacity / other designations:i. Commercial Liaison of the Swiss representation to the Asian Development Bank (ADB);ii. Senior Economic and Trade Advisor at Switzerland Global Enterprise (SGE); andiii. Board Advisor to the Philippine Swiss Business Counciliv. Member of the Global Steering Committee at the Global Reporting Initiative

Teaches the following undergraduate courses: (a) facts about the economy, (b) introduction to microeconomics, and (c) international economics / international trade and finance.Teaches the following graduate courses: (a) international economics / international trade and finance, and (b) economic integration.

Undertake research activities both at Crawford School of Public Policy, and the School of Regulation and Global Governance. Coordinate various activities of the Philippines Project, which is a joint initiative of the Australian National University and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Commonwealth Government of Australia.Contribute opinion pieces and commentaries about governance issues in the Philippines and ASEAN.

The Korea Trade-Invesment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) is the Commercial Section of the Korean Embassy in the Philippines. It is a government agency of the Republic of Korea that takes charge of promoting trade and investments in various foreign posts all over the world. Promote stronger economic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Philippines through assisting visiting trade delegations, one-on-one business matching, investment promotion activities, as well as assisting Philippine companies in exploring business ventures with Korean companies and vice-versa.Conduct marketability studies in all sectors and industries of the Philippine economy and advising foreign companies in doing business with private and public entities. The office likewise stands as branch office on its Jisahwa projects.

Promote bilateral and multilateral relations between the Nordic and Baltic regions of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania with the Philippines. This include business collaboration and partnership with these countries and the Philippines thereby strengthening links and mutual benefits facilitating the flow of investments and job creation.Manage the policy and research capabilities of the business council for stakeholder representation and assistance to the Nordic business community in the Philippines. Similarly, trade and investment promotion activities are conducted to create awareness and build opportunities in coordination with various agencies of government both in the Nordic and Baltic regions and the Philippines.Develop and implement strategic communication channels to advocate economic reforms that will enable a neutral and business-friendly environment through sectoral committees, stakeholders' engagement, and media.

The American Desk was established per MOA between DTI and AMCHAM Philippines in 1992. The desk forms part of BOI-DTI and staff by officers of AMCHAM Phils.Manage the Country Office (America) at the Board of Investments in coordination with the International Marketing Division and the various DTI Investment Promotions Group (IPGs) primarily in-charge for trade promotions of the Philippines to the world.Serves as officer in-charge for coordination among American investors, US Embassy Commercial Services, and Philippine regulatory agencies.Provides pre-investment counseling for new investors and coordinate business briefings with relevant government agencies. (BOI-DTI, SEC, PEZA, etc.)Lobby policy measures to help attract foreign investors to do business in the Philippines and assist in the conduct of trade and business missions.Advocates business regulatory reforms for competitiveness and ease of doing business. Works closely with the The Arangkada Philippines- USAID funded project, and the Investment Ombudsman under the Office of the Ombudsman.

Strongly advocate for Arangkada Philippines: A Business Perspective and its annual assessments of the seven big winner sectors.Tracks/attends hearings and executive meetings on priority legislation called by the Senate and House of Representatives. (e.g. discussions on bills, IRRs of laws)Responsible for Media Relations, Press Conferences, and Philippine Business Groups. Conceptualize and propose policy recommendations and legislation on youth issues especially those pertaining entrepreneurship and employment in the Philippines.

Director and Secretary of the Board. Promulgates and implements decisions and activities involving former Philippine Youth Ambassadors to Japan and ASEAN Member States since 1974. Coordinate with the respective governments and embassies of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos and the Cabinet of Japan on issues involving the implementation and activities of the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program.

Represents the Government of the Republic of the Philippines in diplomatic exercises and attend the Japan & ASEAN Youth Leaders Summit 2010 in Tokyo. Made Philippine representations in state visits in Malaysia, Kingdom of Thailand, Republic of Indonesia, Republic of Singapore, Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Wakayama Prefecture in Japan.
