I earned my Master of Education in Sports Management at Hardin-Simmons University. My most recent career began about 10 years ago, which brought me from the world of sports, to the world of oil and gas. For Halliburton Energy, I was a Field Representative II/mud engineer. Due to the current pandemic, I was let go from the company, so am looking for a possible career change; one that will allow me to utilize my passion for excellence, education, and experience.While with Halliburton Energy, I became the highest level of Field Representative very quickly, due to the fact that I was able to complete the block 1 and 2 training. This enabled me to heighten my knowledge for extremely precise and important procedures maintained by a mud engineer. The purpose of both blocks being completed is to allow for the promotion to service coordinator or sales. My experience of being the lead fluid engineer for major oil and gas companies such as Conoco Phillips, Chesapeake, and British Petroleum Energy allowed me to oversee day to day operations, while providing real-time simulations, projected cost, and the most efficient measures to help complete oil/gas wells. My day to day duties included chemical treatments and additions to the fluid to achieve set drilling goals, managing inventory cost, likewise daily tracking of footage drilled with daily cost breakdowns. My resume includes my specific certifications that will valuably transfer over into this position. Transitioning from a collegiate student athlete to a coaching role enabled me to obtain the knowledge on daily operations of running a successful college basketball program. New relationships were formed, with faculty, staff, administration, alumni, and parents of current and prospective student athletes. The responsibilities of overseeing degree plans, recruiting strategies, budget, scouting reports, and workouts enabled me to strive for excellence and to instill the traits in young men to be successful as they continue to mold.
