Serve as Xerox's AI legal subject matter expert on the AI council, drafting AI policies and reviewing and approving proposed AI implementations within Xerox. Manage a small team of professionals that provide support for IP monetization and also provide IP subject matter support to the litigation team for IP related litigation.

From 2017, served as Xerox's sole West Coast IP attorney supporting Xerox's legendary research center, PARC until its donation to the Stanford Research Institute in 2023. Provided strategic counsel and support for all aspects of IP including: drafting patent applications, negotiating and drafting sponsored research agreements with both industry and the government, guiding decisions on the use of open source code, advising on and drafting agreements related to the sale and licensing of PARC technology, putting in place IP portfolios and agreements to enable the establishment of several new companies dedicated to commercializing PARC innovations, and eventually working on the IP terms for the donation of PARC itself to SRI.

Advised senior management on business issues and served as outside director from initial receipt of outside investor funding until acquisition by Luna Innovations, a NASDAQ company.

-Prepared and prosecuted patent applications for leading technology companies including Apple, Cisco, Intel and Sony as well as numerous early stage companies. -Prepared law firm partners to serve as expert witnesses in patent litigation providing necessary legal and technical insights necessary for effective testimony.-Blakely, Sokoloff, Taylor & Zafman joined with Womble, Bond & Dickinson in 2018.

Supported IP litigation on appeal to the Federal Circuit by conducting legal research and drafting portions of appellate briefs. Conducted patent and trademark prosecution, including drafting and filing applications, and responding to office actions.
