As an Operational Risk Manager at New York Power Authority (NYPA), I help the organization identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that may affect its operations, performance, and reputation. I work with various stakeholders across the enterprise to implement effective risk management policies, frameworks, and solutions, and to foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability.I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from University at Buffalo, where I developed my analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. I also have a passion for learning new languages and cultures, and I completed a Language Exchange program in Chinese Language and Literature at Fudan University in Shanghai, China. This experience enhanced my cross-cultural competence and global perspective, which are essential for working in a diverse and dynamic environment.Some of my recent achievements include leading a risk assessment project for a major renewable energy initiative, developing and delivering risk management training sessions for over 100 employees, and creating a risk dashboard to monitor and report key risk indicators. I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to NYPA's mission of providing clean, reliable, and affordable energy for New Yorkers, and to support its vision of becoming a leading sustainable energy company.
