As an advisor, and consultant I provided management and product inception guidance to HOVER, a company that helps people generate accurate measurements in digital 3D images to support home building and repair projects. Significant accomplishments include: • Provided assistance to the CEO and leadership team in expanding the company revenue run rate and scaling the engineering team;• Established the company’s security and compliance program in support of go-to-market strategies for the property casualty insurance and home building markets.

As an Advisor and Consultant, I provide product engineering management guidance to Ad Joy, (dba Dabbl) a visionary company that is transforming the way advertisers and consumers will partner in the future.

As the company’s Senior Vice President of Operations, I directed all aspects of daily operations for the development of customer-facing technical onboarding, product integration, support, and training services for the company’s Halo cloud security offering. Other duties include establishing and managing software QA, DevOps, and marketing teams. Significant accomplishments include:• Led the development and rollout of product delivery operations encompassing software QA, security policy development, DevOps, professional services, and customer success for the first company lighthouse customers including Salesforce.com, Adobe, Netflix, and Fidelity Investments. • Expanded the company’s customer base to other large companies like Capital One, AT&T, GE, Intel, and Xero.

Took time to see the world. As fulfilling as it was to be with customers and colleagues world-wide during my business travels, seeing the world at my own pace was much more rewarding.

As the company’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, I was a principal strategist and visionary for the company’s Identity and Security Management business, as well as the Workgroup Solutions business which specializes in the development of open collaboration products and infrastructure required to support highly empowered networked teams. Significant accomplishments include:• Expanded the company’s business operations internationally to drive innovation into the product lines.• Expedited the acquisition of eSecurity, Inc. which added secure event monitoring capabilities to product portfolio.• Designed the collaboration framework between Novell and Microsoft which provided directory interoperability for enterprise customers.• Played a key role in establishing the company’s industry leadership in identity and security as defined by Gartner's Magic Quadrant.• Improved revenue by 18%, combined with an increase in gross invoicing to a +1% within two years of extremely challenging market conditions.• Credited for generating net operating profit of 47% on a $450 million annual business.

As the company’s Vice President of Software Engineering, I served as the lead project controller for a technical team in a joint venture between Novell and Nortel which led to the creation of the world’s most scalable internet caching system that incorporated the technical benefits of NetWare and Linux. Significant accomplishments include:• Developed the company’s internal innovation incubator which spearheaded initiatives for new product development. • Led the development and introduction of Novell’s Identity and Security Management products, including the award-winning Identity Manager which was recognized as an industry leading product by top industry analysts.

As Director of Engineering, I managed multiple releases of the NetWare operating system covering the implementation of the world’s first and most scalable enterprise directory technology. In addition, I also supervised all aspects of the product development lifecycle from requirements definition, design, and QA through marketing launch activities for NetWare 5. Other duties include establishing and overseeing a team of highly skilled engineers for the development of scalable and secure clustering technologies, and managing the development and release of Novell’s first small business software product based on NetWare.
