Kent Gray consults on challenging logistics projects and issues involving municipalities and other units of government. Kent previously worked in Illinois state government as a Staff Member of the Senate Committee on Commerce and Industry and as Executive Assistant to the Illinois Comptroller. He also worked for the Illinois House of Representatives and for Congressman Bob Michel. Kent served as a Trustee of Lincoln Land Community College for 18 years. First elected in April 1999, he was reelected in 2005, 2009 and 2013. He served a term as Chairman and a term as Vice Chairman of that Board. He was first appointed to the position of Trustee for the South Oak Knolls Fire Protection District in May 2003, where he continues to serve as its President. Later that year, Mr. Gray was appointed to the Springfield, Illinois Civil Service Commission. Combined, Kent has overseen employment issues for a workforce in excess of 2300 people.Kent is a former officer and member of the Board of Directors for the American Business Club. He is also a past Director of the Old State Capitol Art Fair and the Memorial Hospital Festival of Trees. Kent served as a member of Senator Bob Dole’s 1996 presidential campaign advance staff. Beginning in 1999, Kent served President George W. Bush during temporary duty assignments for the 2000 campaign and the White House on numerous domestic trips and international trips. During the 2008 presidential election cycle, Kent began working for Senator John McCain in March of 2007 and ultimately was assigned to manage the logistics of Governor Palin’s involvement in the Republican National Convention, the Vice Presidential Debate and Election Night.From the Summer of 2015, Kent worked as a senior staff member of the Donald J. Trump for President campaign. In that role, Kent served as a Multi-State Director of Illinois and Missouri and also produced events for Mr. Trump around the nation. Kent was a member of the Illinois Delegation to the 2016 and 2024 GOP National Conventions, pledged to the Trump candidacy. After working on the 2017 Inauguration, Kent spent 2 1/2 years working for the White House and then moved to the Department of Housing and Urban Development as a Senior Advisor. In 2020, Kent was appointed as Illinois Trump Finance Committee Co-Chair and continued to raise money for the 2024 Trump Campaign, and for the 2025 Presidential Inaugural Committee.
