My graduate research focused on the design and study of metal oxide- and metal-organic framework-based catalysts for small molecule transformations such as hydrogen activation, alkene hydrogenation and isomerization, and transfer hydrogenation of carbonyls, among others. My work was experimental, involving materials synthesis and characterization as well as catalyst testing in gas phase and liquid phase heterogeneous reactions.
