Kent Parker’s professional experience includes a wide range of roles in a variety of industries and businesses. Serving as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Ariba, Inc., the leading provider of business commerce network, software, and services solutions (acquired in 2012 by SAP AG, a world leader in enterprise software and software-related services), Mr. Parker helped lead the company's transformation to a cloud technology business model. Prior to Ariba, Mr. Parker was the Senior Vice President of Global Services and an Executive Officer at FreeMarkets, Inc., a publicly traded supply management services and software company. Prior to FreeMarkets, he helped build and grow Caribou Coffee Company, a national retail chain with over 180 company-owned stores throughout the United States at the time of his tenure. Mr. Parker has also held numerous leadership and management positions in engineering, manufacturing, strategic sourcing & procurement, and program management at Textron Inc. and United Technologies Carrier Corporation.Currently, Mr. Parker serves as a board member and executive advisor to several enterprise software companies including aPriori, Curvo Labs, and Legion Technologies. Previously, Mr. Parker served as an independent board member of Avetta, BusinesSolver, Relativity, and Freightquote.com. He is active as an entrepreneurial investor, both as a limited partner in several venture capital funds and through his own personal investment entities.
