I like to solve problems and I’m a huge people person, which is how I came to be a successful Executive Search Recruiter. I recruit for CFO, Controller, and Finance Director positions and I focus on two things: direct hire searches, and interim (temporary) resource consulting projects. I’m a CPA in California (PwC) with direct Finance experience in two Fortune 500 companies, expertly skilled in evaluating the technical requirements of the job and finding the right candidate. I still maintain an active CPA license, I’m an active CMA, and I earned an MBA from UCLA Anderson. I understand the technical requirements and ethical standards of the profession, and am regularly referred to clients by CPA partners and firms.I’m a networking machine and it’s fair to say I know more people working in Finance & Accounting in Orange County, CA than anyone else. I have a unique combination of technical knowledge and skills, paired with an outgoing nature and a genuine love of people, making me expertly skilled at my job. In 2012 I published a book titled The Key: A Networking Guide to Meeting, Connecting and Succeeding which breaks down the simple activities of networking that are possible for every professional from entry level, mid-career, to established executive, and how the benefits of your networking efforts build over time. My passion and energy come with me into my life outside of work. Recently at the UCI Paul Merage Business School, I co-founded the LEADS (Leadership Experience And Development for Success) Program, which offers a select group of top Merage School undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in professional development, mentoring workshops and networking events with Merage School alumni and community leaders. On the weekends you can find me cycling, mountain climbing, golfing, practicing yoga with my wife, spending time with our 3 grown sons, and of course cheering on my University of Washington Huskies men’s and women’s teams. During the pandemic I began studying Spanish cada dia sobre Duolingo and going into very cold water every other day a la the Wim Hof Method !!!
