Director of the Salisbury, NC broadband network (for business, government, education, and FTTH), and other utilities. Under my direction, we are presently taking Salisbury from a regular Gigabit city to the fastest city in the world at 10 Gigabit - city wide.Accomplishments include: * Create vision and gain support with local officials, businesses, media, residents, and team members.* Design and execute strategy, communicating in a method that is user friendly and technically superior.* Develop sales, marketing, and public relations direction, and identify business opportunities within the community, as well as creating new business partnerships.* Formed strategic partnerships with businesses, including the largest employer in the city.* Work with Economic Development to attract new businesses and talent to the city.* Developed a data center service to host outside companies.* Instituted and implemented a Disaster Recovery plan.* Obtained approval from two other cities and the county to expand services into those areas.Responsibilities include:* Serve as the point person for all press, government, trade, utilities, community, and business organizations.* Develop relationships with community and business leaders, through press interviews, public speaking and one-on-one meetings.* Engineer and supervise solutions for strategic clients.* Advise Salisbury City Council on sales, marketing, budget, legal, and technical issues.* Manage all broadband staff including inside and outside engineering, Network Operations Center, data center, video and telephony engineers, marketing, customer service and sales.* Budget for present and future technologies and staff.* Understand and comply with laws and regulations, and interact with governing bodies.* Maintain technical expertise by attending trade shows and interacting with peers in the industry.* Train sales staff on technical and selling techniques.* Participate in industry specific trade organizations.

* Engineer and implement core network and customer installations; including new facility and services turn-ups, ongoing migrations, grooming and disconnects. * Responsible for the final network design, including equipment Bill of Materials, Project MOPs, SOWs and the end-to-end engineering.* Ensure projects are completed on-time and within the established budget. * Track and manage continuous capacity overbuilds on the Media network. * Project manage all aspects from equipment ordering to the turn-up. This includes any Type 2 circuits, collocation, fiber, cross-connects etc. Co-ordinate site surveys, site access, work with internal teams (Network Infrastructure, Service delivery), and external vendors for the installation, test and turn-up.* Provide technical support and input for design requests and specifications such as latency, routing, diversity, equipment recommendations and costs. * Assist with RFPs.* Responsible for engineering documentation in the systems.* Collaborate in the delivery of the services to the end customer. * Assign capacity, ports and review test results etc. to ensure services are delivered in accordance with the customer Service Order(s). * Review vendor road-maps and releases to evaluate for new features and functionality that meet Hibernia’s requirements for network evolution and enhancements. * Development and reporting of network metrics (for example, capacity utilization, run rate).Identify and test new technologies.Key Accomplishments:* Engineered, project managed and documented a doubling of the network footprint in Europe through network acquisitions* Engineered, hired and managed remote contractors, project managed, purchased equipment and fibers, installed, documented and monitored the HiDef video feeds for the Sochi Winter Olympics, using fiber optics and 16 J2k encoders, ETH, 128 channels of MADI audio.* Engineered, project managed, installed fiber, configured all hardware for the 2014 French Open.

• Consult with broadcasters such as CBS, CBS College Sports, FOX News, NBC, ESPN, BBC, Lamhas (India), Screen Gems, Bloomberg and others on how to incorporate an internet based, Linux video contribution system into their present video production facility. • Work with developers and advise management on how to develop product for better funcationality in broadcast situations. • Supervise Quality Assurance staff • Configure and trouble shoot Linux video encoders and decoders down to the command line level • Evangelize technology at International Trade Shows, Trade and Client meetings.• After meeting with clients, and understanding their expectations and technical needs, install and configure equipment in clients video facilities. • Ensure proper routing, through including SDI and HDSDI, and conversion into other necessary formats, as needed, as well as working with Firewall managers to ensure proper network ports were open. • Train clients and resellers on operation of equipment and software. • Support clients and resellers on any issues that may arise and develop solutions. • Support sales efforts with technical demos, 'Vizio'​ drawings, attend presentations, and fielding technical questions. • Meet with clients on an on going basis to ensure that product with meeting their expectations, and advise as to other uses of the equipment. • Develop in house 'server farm' and handle any networking issues related. • Develop trouble ticket system • Develop Cloud Project Management System

Consulted with the US Army Psychological Operations, on broadcast solutions including AM, FM, Shortwave and TV transmission systems, found more efficient process techniques, and new broadcast technology solutions and systems. Created training sessions on systems such as editing (Final Cut, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop), RF Propagation, antenna design and construction, Am/FM/SW/TV station field construction, field maintenance and field trouble shooting, I also remotely supported soldiers and assisted in trouble shooting while they were in Asia.I also personally performed maintenance and trouble shooting for 2 television studios, 5 edit suites, numerous field ENG type configurations, satellite up links and down links, and emergency power gen sets.I would interface with US Government employees, including NavAir, on budget and planning issues.

CC - Milwaukee at Director of Engineering. Station included WISN, WOKY, WKKV, WQBW, WRIT and WMIL. Added HD Radio to all FMs and WOKY. Moved WMIL to a new tower site.WISN is a 50kW day 10kW night using 6 towers day and 9 towers night.Added Wisconsin's first HD2 channel on WKKV.Redesigned a 4 audio studios. Converted all STLs from analog to digital.

Managed and directed a Network Operations Center (NOC) that monitored the worldwide network of General Electric Medical Systems. I also managed all engineer team members that responded to all alarms and issues.

Covered an 8 state region with the IBM security product suite from desktop to OS 390.
