Ken Wanek is founder, president and CEO of Datatrac, a market research company and advertising agency specializing in the banking industry.Ken and his team at Datatrac built America's largest database of deposit and lending rates from over 100,000 banking locations in North America and have served over 5,000 bank and credit union clients.Ken is a regular speaker at tradeshows and events, presenting at conferences held by the American Bankers Association, Credit Union National Association and other industry leaders. His research has been used by the Government Accountability Office, the Federal Reserve and included in reports to the Ways And Means Committee and House of Representatives.Ken's work has been quoted in USA Today, Wall Street Journal, CBS MarketWatch, SmartMoney, Consumers Digest, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel among many others. Ken was also a columnist for the Los Angeles Times contributing articles on personal finance.Datatrac was founded by Ken at the age of twenty-one. Prior to launching Datatrac, Ken was the Director of Financial Planning for a Milwaukee accounting firm. He has held various professional licenses in securities and insurance including a Registered Representative, Registered Investment Advisor and Certified Financial Planner.Ken is past chairman of the annual Wisconsin Entrepreneur Conference. He has served several terms under appointment of Governor Doyle on the Wisconsin Development Fund Board, an organization providing over $10 million annually in funding to Wisconsin businesses.Ken attended University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at the age of sixteen and completed his degree in financial planning from the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Ken is currently a sailing instructor at the University of Wisconsin Madison-Hoofers Sailing Club. His hobbies include motorcycling, sailing, scuba diving, fitness and playing guitar and ukulele.
