I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has held leadership positions in academia, government and industry that have all focused on improving access to evidence-based mental health services. I’ve been on the faculty at Stanford and Northwestern Medical Schools and served in the Department of Veterans Affairs for nearly 20 years, where my work focused on clinical training, health services research, implementation and evaluation of technology for behavior change. After leaving VA, I worked for several behavioral health startup companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2021 I decided to pivot my career from technology into psychedelic science and took a leadership role in a nonprofit that funds research on Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT) for Veterans. I recently became a certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapist, and will soon apply to become a Licensed Clinical Facilitator in Colorado. This will allow me to expand my scope of practice as a Psychologist to include working with psilocybin. I plan to offer these services to individuals, couples and groups here in the Boulder area in early 2025, and to organize retreats that will provide experiential training for those who have been through the various PAT certification programs.
