Accounts Payable Department

(approx. 100+ invoices processed daily)My responsibilities were coding vendor invoices, sending them for the necessary approvals and entering them into SAP and assisting in the processing of letters of credit. I contributed to the filing of processed invoices as well as maintenance of the accounts payable filing system. This contribution also included opening the department’s daily mail and distributing it to the correct employee. Special projects included pulling invoices for audits and checking for accuracy.

(approx. 30 invoices processed daily)In this position, I coded vendor invoices, obtained the necessary approvals and entered them into AccPac, batched the invoices after the entering process, matched invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents (3-way matching), and set up new vendors and updated existing ones in the system. I also issued debit memos, ran the check runs, cut checks, prepared documentation to accompany them and mailed them. I also filed the paid vendor invoices and created a more functional and professional filing system for the unpaid invoices. I was also able to utilize my customer service experience when corresponding with vendors concerning payment and invoice issues

(approx. 100 – 200 invoices processed daily)In this position, I was responsible for the accounts payable of the company’s subsidiary, Eyetech. In this position I coded and processed vendor invoices into Oracle, matched invoices to purchase orders (2-way match), daily initiation of correspondence with branch offices on issues surrounding vendor invoices, procedures to follow, obtaining approvals and coding on invoices,. On a weekly basis, I prepared the vendor invoices for the check run by pulling invoices to be paid, obtaining and preparing all necessary documents to accompany payment, sent them for approval and mailed them. I also reviewed and processed expense reports for mathematical accuracy, correct pay and mileage rates and for necessary documentation and reviewed vendor statements for any issues, unpaid invoices, and missing invoices and filing unpaid and paid invoices were also a daily responsibility.
