Responsible for researching, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting statistical data from various sources, including offense and arrest reports, provide forecasts and interpretations of future crime statistics using quantitative and qualitative methodology. As well as, identifying emergent crime patterns, analyzing tactical activities, and contributing to intervention strategies.

Interviews defendants, conducts background investigation, and prepares reports on defendants awaiting trial, and/or sets bonds with Judicial Commissioners. Organizes individual or group counseling sessions as required in the treatment and rehabilitation of assigned individuals or groups in Pretrial Services. Counsels with clients and decides on an appropriate rehabilitation plan depending on needs and concentrating on employment, education, and restitution. Monitors court appearances and dispositions, processes defendants including preparing paperwork for Court Arraignment, and takes prescribed action for violation of probation/diversion.Supervises a caseload to include maintaining accurate files, proper court notification, preparing monthly supervision reports, responding to delinquency, responding to failure to appear in court, and rearrests. Screens, recommends, and enrolls defendants approved released and/or supervision programs.
