My IT interest started when I was around ten years old, I knew that I would be able to use technology as a resource to impact others' lives, this led to me doing a lot of research and test runs with different computers to learn how to build one for myself. I used what I didn’t know to my advantage, to help others as well as creating more opportunities. In 2019 I produced my very own PC, this was a huge accomplishment for me because I proved to myself and others that as the only women of color in my computer club, I was able to build a modern machine on my own and use it as the foundation for more to come. With this type of mindset and ambition, it has led me into meeting different people in my life. This experience has left a great impact on me because it molded me into being a team player, competitor, great analyzer and problem solver. I also want to aid other IT technicians as they transition into the IT world, helping them adapt to a new work environment and adapting to the pace. I want to be able to create a safe space and structured work environment to help not only myself but others along the way.
