Using ASNT standards conduct NDT, PT, MT, and VT to Perform inspections for: paint, electrical circuits high and low-voltage, in-process build-up audits, dynamometer tests on locomotive engines, track tests, FRA and AAR inspections, and coupler to coupler inspections. Collaborate with customer representative on pre-shipment inspections and monitor tests of new and rebuilt locomotives. Ensure all inspections meet technical specifications, contract requirements, and numerous high-standards. Maintain calibration of tools and equipment, that are NIST traceable, using the Calibration database. Create positive and clear communication between multiple departments and verify welders against QPS‘s and WPS’s qualifications using AWS standards. Conduct process audits in-house and at customer facilities for improved quality and team awareness. Use a Hexagon Romer CMM arm for more complex and precise dimensional inspections. Review and finalize audits of the locomotive history book to ensure all hold point inspections meet standards. Trained in Lean manufacturing.
