C. Kenzie C. Photography was originally founded as a way to bring mindfulness moments to social media platforms by using photography as a medium. We are bombarded with a million daily messages by the media, so why not add a few moments of relaxation and reflection as well! Our mission is to combine neuroscientific, cognitive, and mental health principles, often rooted in Buddhism teachings and the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction technique, with photography to prove that art can transcend being a leisure luxury and act as a therapeutic necessity.

Founded Coalition (aspiring for 501(c)(3) non-profit status) to eradicate the stigma and raise awareness about mental health on campus. Created Mental Miles Fundraising Campaign and raised over $2,100 for the National Alliance on Mental Illness through hosting a 120+ attended 5K Walk/Run in Easton & GoFundMe page. Started Random Acts of Kindness (RAKtivist) campaign to deliver care packages and positivity to students twice each semester. Facilitated discussions surrounding the portrayal of mental illness in the media, i.e. 13 Reasons Why. Organized the Henna Project-using Henna Tattooing to share the mental health stories of certain students in art vivante display of 80+ attendees

Led weekly 2 to 2.5 hour guided historical, informative, and enthusiastic visits around Lille, France under the "free walking tour" model.

Worked as an English Teaching Assistant at Lycee Valentine Labbe and College Flandre in La Madeleine, France for the Academie of Lille. Created exciting and creative lesson plans focused on conversational practice, confidence while speaking, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Counselor for the Camp Ernst Crew Program, a leadership experience for those entering 10th grade in the Fall. The crew program is designed to help foster responsibility, positive learning, teamwork, initiative, and a caring attitude that crew members will be able to use in and out of camp. As a crew leader, I am committed to helping young people develop into caring, responsible leaders.

Through the Preminger Gerontology Scholarship, I taught chair yoga and meditation sessions biweekly to residents of Gracedale Nursing Home in Northampton County PA, including on the intensive Alzheimer’s Care Unit. During the spring semester, I led members of the Aging course to volunteer at Gracedale with me. Following yoga program, conducted semi-structured qualitative interviews with consenting residents to research the effects of meditation, mindfulness, and yoga on the quality of life of the aging population; presented results at Community Based Learning and Research expo at Lafayette College. After seeing my poster at the expo, the Children’s Home of Easton contacted me and I taught a class there for all employees and children.

As a senior interviewer, I work in the Admissions Office at Lafayette College interviewing prospective senior students for admission into the college.

After working as a tour guide student ambassador and office worker for 3 years, I was instated as the Chair of the Ambassador Program, the liaison between the Office of Admissions and LCAP student Program in change of overseeing the hiring, training, and success of all tour guides, office workers, senior interviewers, and heading the student leadership committee. I attended and presented a discussion on the importance of multicultural competence in admissions recruiting at the 2018 CIVSA SDI Leadership Conference in Columbus Ohio. Since my appointment to the position, I was committed to mandatory diversity and inclusivity training for all workers in admissions including a Social Justice 101 and Safe Zone LGBTQIA+ training. Additionally, I planned the first annual LCAP formal.

I have been hired to tutor students in Organic Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Neuroscience. Currently I individually tutor two students weekly in Organic Chemistry by going over concepts in class, helping them understand their homework, and offering study tips for exam preparation.

Presented an hour long open-table discussion on modern day slavery and the positive benefits of girls' education to a group of prospective Lafayette College students for the Our Beloved Community symposium 2014, 2015, and 2016. In 2017, I presented on the benefits of using mindfulness techniques as a social justice advocate.

Under the mentorship and guidance of Dr. Elaine Reynolds, I am using the fruit fly, Drosophila Melanogaster as a model for research on doxycyclines and its effects on mitochondria relating to deafness and the lifespan of an organism. I am currently working on a project involving mitochondrial biogenesis.

I am beyond ecstatic to be the Social Media Coordinator for Lafayette College and maintain a constant presence on Lafayette's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and College Confidential accounts.I redefined the position of social media coordinator and created a detailed plan to be used for subsequent coordinators. I manage a team of Social Media Mavens that will provide daily updates, tips, and advice to prospective Lafayette College students. I am the liaison between Lafayette Admissions and Lafayette Communications, working to provide one unified message to prospective students.

I am doing neuroscience research under Dr. Elaine Reynolds using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model system for understanding neural development and function in neurological diseases such as epilepsy and Parkinson's.Presented at Pennsylvania Academy of Science Conference in April 2015 on the effect of diet on Parkinson's disease using the fruit fly as a model. http://pennsci.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/PAS-ABSTRACTs-2015.pdf

Volunteered weekly as the Teaching Assistant in a local French Elementary School's English Class for level 5 students ages 11-12. Corrected their English pronunciation and grammar, led speaking activities in class, and worked individually with small student groups to address specific language needs.

Ran social media campaigns for local businesses and non-profit organizations. Created marketing materials for the company including graphic design.
