I am given the opportunity by Downer to build Network Communications and Cybersecurity capabilities in the Downer Rail services engineering group. I have responsibility for the Australia/NZ markets for Transportation, Industrial Mining & O & G for the Ruggedcom business. I currently look after our partners (solution and distribution) as well as all internal Siemens business. In Siemens, we greatly value our partners and i work very closely with them to bring solutions to market. Internally, i support our major business divisions for projects namely, Siemens Rail automation, Siemens Energy Management, Siemens Drasser Rand & Siemens Building TechnologiesIn Ruggedcom, we work with critical network infrastructures and it is great experience learning how networking is enabling change in all the different verticals. For example:• CBTC and ETCS in the Rail Industry• 61850 in Substation Automation• The role of wireless technologies in distribution automation• How industrial networking is enabling the mine of the future• Inter-Modal transport systemsIt is amazing to see these solutions coming to life and working with our partners and internal project teams to support their networking needs is something i truly enjoy
