Keonte Williams is a quality assurance engineer intern for BASF. “I am looking forward to learning about how the Lean Six Sigma program works and working towards completion of many projects which will consist of working on a team with others in assuring the most efficient methods are being used to maintain structure of the work force that we are in daily. My goal is to gain a better understanding of the 5S system, how to implement root cause analysis, to influence without authority and successfully complete at least two to three projects regarding the catalytic air pollution control as a part of the quality team”. He was originally born in Birmingham, Alabama where he graduated from Carver High School. He lives in Huntsville, Alabama where he attends Alabama A&M University studying mechanical engineering as a rising senior. He is very active in the Marching Maroon & White Band and is a leader for his engineering organization Eta Kappa Tau Engineering & Technology Fraternity Incorporated Alpha Chapter (HKT). This is very helpful to the community as they mentor young troubled youths locally. They guide, inform, and persuade them with information as to how one can make healthy decisions for a more ethical and productive lifestyle. For the 2019-2020 spring semester he was nominated as Mr. HKT. This honor required Keonte to research and organize all community service events at least twice per month for the engineering organization to reach out and impact the community. He has 5+ years of community service experience, so his communication and soft skills are professionally up to date. As he a people person, he looks to expand his knowledge in all fields of engineering and open to learning new things.
