Each participant is selected and trained on how to best aid entering student athletes with their transition from high school or another college to the University of Delaware. Mentors act as role models and guide newcomers in overcoming any challenges--schoolwork, finding friend groups, getting around campus, etc.--new student-athletes face. We are also all given the responsibility of contacting our mentees throughout the summer and serving as resources to answer any questions entering students may have about the university and/or athletics program.
