Supporting a diverse real estate and financial lending practice, responsibilities include contract drafting and negotiations, property acquisitions / sales / transfers, CC&R disputes, land disputes, landlord/tenant disputes, contract due diligence and administration, corporate governance and litigation management. Serving as liaison between corporate and outside counsel nationwide and internationally, to facilitate the exchange of information, direct outside counsel, ensure compliance and reduce legal costs. Managing the corporation’s litigation under the commercial general liability policy and workers compensation policy.

Responsibilities include drafting complaints, verified bills of particulars, motions and memorandums of law in complex construction, negligence, and automobile liability cases. Conducting extensive legal research on intricate matters pertaining to issues of relevance, property liability, slip and falls and Labor Law §§ 200, 240, and 241. Review of deposition transcripts to help determine case theories and liability. I have attended and assisted in multi-million dollar trial court proceedings, mediations, depositions, pre-trial conferences, and 50-h hearings. Regularly interview new clients and offer translation support to firm clientele. Further assist clients in their obtaining of medical treatment and workers compensation benefits, assisting in their preparation for depositions, and helping maintain their case file through suit. Network and engage with union members from more than 50 case files and dealing with the daily time constraints and deadlines of a high volume litigation firm.

Initiated an agriculture related product liability suite in Israel, overseeing and working alongside Israeli legal counsel. From filing of complaints through discovery, I successfully brought suite to a speedy mediation resulting in a favorable settlement award. Responsibilities included maintaining client, expert and document production binders, analyzing complex agricultural data, commission and working alongside Puerto Rico and Israel based agricultural experts and surveyors. Drafted, reviewed and maintained biotechnology research and service contracts.Prepared Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for an application to Excellence Through Stewardship, an international standards organization serving the biotechnology sector. Conducted trademark research and assisted in the filing of a trademark.

Non-profit organization working towards the facilitation of gifts, bequests and contributions designated for specific purposes and institutions in Israel. Responsible for reviewing non-profit organization papers to ensure legal compliance with the Israel Registrar of Charities and Israel Internal Revenue Services. Conducted follow up investigation of charity activities in the use of contributions. Reviewed, translated and presented charity project proposals, grant applications, legacies and contracts before the PEF Board of Directors.

Responsible for all applications to government agencies for required electrical, water and use permits. Coordinated with financial institutions for the repayment of construction loan and ensure a comprehensive and speedy closing process. Provided support to buyers throughout the closing process to effectively close 306 housing units. Further provided accounting support for new client registration, including entering options to purchase, managing escrow accounts through final property sale.
