Project Specialist, Technical Services And Operations (Techops)
After 2 years of working as a special assistant to the Associate Dean of Technical Services and Operations (TechOps), I transitioned into a full time project specialist (temp) that helped drive operational excellence within a diverse team of technologists, media artists, and field specialists. Our whole TechOps team consisted of five sub-teams: Information Technology, Facilities Management, Creative Media Training (Focus on Adobe), Event and Classroom Services and Multimedia Production. Together, we strived to make USC Annenberg the epicenter of communication, journalism and public relations education, research and entrepreneurship. My role provided cross-functional project and operational support to all five teams mentioned above through the design, implementation and execution of systems-oriented workflows and standard operating procedures. My responsibilities included:- Central Department Communication- Helpdesk/Front Office Desk Supervision- Ticketing System Oversight (Currently through Zendesk Reports, Identifying KPI's)- Quality Control- Strategic Planning (Organizational Shifts, Organizational Chart Changes, Financial Forecasts, Technology Integration, Construction/Remodeling Project Management)- New Business/Workflow Processes Research- Hire, supervise and schedule student workers that support data visualization reports, dashboard designs and web development- Student Mailing Lists and Enrollment Data (Using Excel Functions) Curation- Department Web and Social Media Curation and Management- Department MS365 Calendar Management- Department Team Building, Community Building, Culture Caring Design and Management
